Life After Metropolis
My life took a sudden turn. There were moments of happiness and moments of sadness, but I still long for those days when I could sit beside my best friend on the same desk and laugh with her for hours, forgetting everything else. Those simple moments meant more than I realized at the time. Now, I am in my third year at NED University, Karachi, on the path to becoming an engineer. I am proud of who I am becoming and grateful for everything Metropolis has taught me, as it played an important role in shaping the person I am today.
Memories
This school not only gave me good memories, but it also gave me a phase of life when I was the happiest. It gave me friends who became more important to me than any other relationship in my life. Every second I spent with them was an amazing moment of my life. One small memory that has stayed with me is of a girl sharing melted “Toblerone” chocolate with the class during Sindhi period, which was taught by my dearest teacher, Miss Kulsoom, because the girl was leaving for America.
